Permanent Makeup
Permanent Makeup is a cosmetic technique which employs tattoos (permanent pigmentation of the dermis) as a means of producing designs that resemble makeup, such as eyelining and other permanent enhancing colours to the skin of the face, lips, and eyelids.
Facial micropigmentation is offered to create balance and symmetry to the face whilst offering an enhanced and natural result, which is tailored to the individual’s needs and is therefore bespoke to each client.
These procedures are not aimed at being a substitute for traditional makeup but rather an enhancement that can be carried off on a day to day basis.
This is a perfect treatment for those who feel bare without make-up. It’s also ideal for: Alopecia patients or those who have lost definition; sport and fitness enthusiasts; those with a busy schedule.
The procedure involves implanting pigment into the dermis, and once healed the pigment will remain visible in the skin for a number of years. Unless more pigment is added it will slowly degrade and break down, depending on factors such as the quality of pigment, skin type and age.
I always start with a consultation and a relaxed and informal chat to discuss your desires and to feel at ease but confident that PMU will benefit you.
I will help you to pick the PMU that suits your features, skin tone, image and lifestyle and we will design a bespoke treatment together specifically for you. I will demonstrate the results you could expect to achieve by applying conventional makeup with pencils.
All micropigmentation procedures are at least a two tier process and I will always err on the side of caution during your initial treatment. It is quite common to experience fading and some patchiness after your first visit so I offer the ‘perfecting’ session. This allows me to redefine strokes that were lost during the healing period and you can decide to go darker or fuller if desired.
This touch up is complimentary as long as it is done within the 8 week period.
The most advanced pain relief method is used resulting in only minimal discomfort.
Please prepare for the colour to be sharper and darker for the first few days following your appointment.
Colour boosts are recommended every 1-2 years to ensure your PMU looks its best. It is advised for you to come back before the pigment has faded completely or you would require two sessions again.
